We grew up running barefoot through the creek and we loved catching lizards and crawdads after a good rain. Our dog, Lad, would fetch and retrieve rocks and would dive in head first even if we threw a rock in the water. We had a few horses over the years, Carol Anne, Chief, Joker and eventually, Big Enough. We had a goat named Frisky and one of the cows was named Coffee. You haven t lived in the country if you haven t been chased by a chicken! Raising chickens and having farm fresh eggs were some of the many benefits of country living. Getting to ride the tractor with dad at 5:00 AM was always so fun and it was very fulfilling to see the fruits of our labor. Many memories were made on this 8+AC farm.
