We grew up running barefoot through the creek and we loved catching lizards and crawdads after a good rain. Our dog, Lad, would fetch and retrieve rocks and would dive in head first even if we threw a rock in the water. We had a few horses over the years, Carol Anne, Chief, Joker and eventually, Big Enough. We had a goat named Frisky and one of the cows was named Coffee.
