Steve Sikes of Texas Ranches Real Estate’s family has been ranching in Texas since 1876. They currently ranch and run a cow/calf operation in Stephens and Throckmorton Counties with Commercial Angus and Commercial SimAngus cows cross backed with Registered Angus and Hereford Bulls. They employ the best genetics and EPD’s with a focus on herd health as recommended by Beef Quality Assurance (BQA) and veterinarian protocols. Being a good steward of the land, and taking care of God’s resources, has always been a goal of his family. They apply industry best-practices with their facilities to include pasture improvements, cross fencing, best grazing practices and water resource management.

Several years ago, his family sold their family steel business that was started by Steve’s father and mother in 1952. For 44 years he worked in the steel business, the last 10 as the Chairman and CEO.
